Omega’s are a group of essential mono or polyunsaturated fatty acids that perform key functions in the human body. Omega-3 could impact positively on cardiovascular disease, cognitive function, immune function and inflammation in chronic diseases. Since the human body can’t produce omega-3s, these fats are referred to as “essential fats,” meaning that you have to get them from your diet.
